Diario di un fotografo murettista. Capitolo 8/11 – 57^ Osnabrucker Bergrennen
Questa volta è stata pesante, ne Leonardo Da Vinci ne i Fratelli Wright mi sono venuti in aiuto e i 3000 km A/R, che separano casa mia da Borgloh, sono stati fatti tutti in auto. 3000 km, 40 ore di auto tra andata e ritorno. Ed immagino le vostre espressioni, ma soprattutto i vostri giudizi, anzi li sento proprio.
Ma posso dire che ne vè valsa la pena, posso dire che è stato un weekend di incredibile intensità, dai risvolti umani e sportivi importanti.
L’Italia, le Alpi, l’Austria e la Germania, poi le pianure e pale eoliche accompagnano l’infinità chilometri di un viaggio lungo a livello fisico, mentale, fino a che alle porte di un piccolo e grazioso paesino, poco distante da Osnabruck, in un’enorme distesa di pannocchie ci accolgono, con colori vivaci e i suoni a presentare quella che è una delle gare più discusse e controverse (solo in Italia) dell’Europeo.
Berg Cup, prototipi, i mostri dell’europeo, la NSU Berg Pokal, una pangea di mezzi dalle forme più disparate che sono ingredienti di un’amalgama meravigliosa, colorata, accompagnata dal perenne profumo di brace e dal tipico suono delle birre che si stappano.
Il weekend inizia così, con una bionda signora di mezza età che alla nostra richiesta di consegna dei pass stampa, guarda le schede, strabuzza gli occhi e “Did you really come here from Italy? For our race?”. Stupita, commossa, onorata si è messa subito a nostra disposizione per ogni cosa e ci ha concesso i pass per il tanto famoso e agognato tendone Vip.
Mi ha fatto strano, alla fine non ci vedo nulla di male a fare tanti km per un evento straordinario, per la disciplina che amo, per una gara che si è conquistata un posto da protagonista per il parco auto, l’organizzazione, l’ambiente.
La Germania, per quanto se ne possa dire, per quanto i retaggi della seconda guerra mondiale ci hanno insegnato, per quanto la scuola ci abbia inculcato il contrario, è un paese stupendo, ospitale, dove la gente, non ci crederete, ride ed è tanto tanto simpatica e lavorare è facile, la comunicazione è facile, ridere e scherzare è facile.
A me quel posto piace dalla prima esperienza nel 2022, dall’ accoglienza da parte del presidente della “baracca”, al percorso, al parco auto, al cibo, alla professionalità dei commissari.
Il meteo, tipicamente tedesco ha alternato acqua e sole per praticamente tre giorni ma sapete cosa c’è? Mi piace anche quello.
Ma all’interno di questo racconto c’è una cosa che mi ha particolarmente colpito, torna la solita doppia veste dei miei diari, racconto e pensiero, narrazione e confronto.
Camminando sui sentieri che portano alla partenza ho visto un’immagine, quella di presentazione a queste righe, diversa dal solito dove illustro la natura, l’ambiente, l’atmosfera.
Guardate quella bambina e pensate a quando i vostri nonni e i vostri genitori vi tramandavano quelle che sono le tradizioni, i riti, della vostra famiglia o della vostra terra.
In questa immagine io ho visto chiaro il futuro, un bellissimo futuro, il tramandare di una passione, di un impegno, di una missione che saranno il punto di partenza per tanti anni di cronoscalate.
E mi è stato chiaro, quanto in Italia il ruolo di commissario sia denigrato e bistrattato. Ho sentito tante critiche negli ultimi tempi, ho sentito commenti negativi, offese ma a volte l’incompetenza o alcune scelte sbagliate sono il frutto di una politica ben al di sopra della postazione a bordo strada.
Il commissario oggi, in Italia, è stato caricato di responsabilità e scaricato di potere, è stato declassato al ruolo di comprimario dell’ego di alcuni.
Una comparsa, spesso, di un one man show che da chilometri di distanza si sostituisce agli occhi di chi è su strada, pretendendo di prendere decisioni al posto di chi ha la competenza e le capacità di farlo in autonomia.
E questo andamento ha impoverito la professionalità di quelli che al pari dei piloti sono (o dovrebbero essere) i veri protagonisti delle gare in salita.
I commissari sono figure di riferimento, garanti della sicurezza, sono occhi, mani e cuore che proteggono oltre che piloti e pubblico una tradizione e una storia che sono spina dorsale importante (più di altre specialità blasonate) del Motorsport italiano.
Un dedalo di regole, scritte o inventate sul momento, disposizioni a volte grottesche, briefing ai quali manca solo il balcone di Piazza Venezia sono il termometro del clima in cui sono costretti a lavorare e ad agire i nostri uomini arancioni.
E questa figura oltre che del potere che compete si scaricata del rispetto delle persone che vede solo, giustamente direi perchè quello viene fuori, gli errori madornali, le decisioni prese senza la certezza di un grazie, piuttosto che la fatica che c’è dietro ma soprattutto la scarsa preparazione, quasi fossero marionette che si muovono solo perchè qualcuno muove i fili, spesso sbagliati.
Ma orniamo a quella bambina: era li con i suoi genitori ma voi penserete, bei commissari quelli che portano una bimba così piccola a bordo strada in una situazione di pericolo. Beh li i commissari vengono sostituiti dopo un tot di ore di servizio per farli essere sempre al massimo della forma, non sono costretti a stare 10-12 ore sul percorso, alla mercé di caldo, freddo, fame, sete, di lavori spaccaschiana come la sistemazione di quintali di gomme in tempi strettissimi, sono rispettati e sono trattati in modo adeguato al loro ruolo. Quando i due genitori erano in servizio la bimba era affidata a due persona tra il pubblico che le insegnavano la bellezza di quel mondo, il nostro mondo.
Questa enorme differenza, le discrepanze tra ciò che vivo e ciò che vedo hanno dato forte il sentore che tante cose devono cambiare, tanti piccoli aspetti stanno facendo crollare un castello che una volta era forte e adesso è stato privato delle basi su cui reggeva.
l re può ergersi, luminoso e fiero sulla torre torre più alta e ostentare il suo potere, ma senza le fondamenta crolla il castello e tutta la torre.
Con questa immagine negli occhi il weekend, la gara va avanti, la domenica è ricca di interruzioni, di incidenti anche spettacolari che però si risolvono con tanto lavoro per gli addetti e nessuna conseguenza per i piloti, comunque prontamente soccorsi e controllati.
Nonostante il meteo, le tante bandiere rosse, la stanchezza, il freddo prima, il caldo poi, la gara finisce e scendendo sulla linea di partenza il presidente ci riconosce, ci saluta, ci ringrazia mille volte e la nostra proposta di qualche variazione dell’arco partenza viene ben accolto, alla fine le gare si reggono sulla comunicazione e la visibilità e noi media siamo parte di questa promozione noi siamo la testimonianza più vera di quanto di bello ci sia in queste gare. All’estero lo sanno bene e “usano” il nostro lavoro per questo, non siamo solo una “rottura di c……i da gestire”.
La testa è piena di immagini, di suoni, di rumori, di volte, di saluti, delle migliaia e migliaia di persone schematicamente sistemate sul percorso
Riprendiamo la strada alle 19 con un bellissimo tramonto di sfondo, lavoro un pò in auto finché una schnitzel mit kartoffeln ci da lo sprint per i primi 1100 km da fare. E mi passano accanto , pian piano inghiottiti dalla notte, il granturco, le pale eoliche, le pianure, la Germania, l’Austria, le Alpi, l’ Italia.
Cosa altro dire alla fine di questo fine settimana.. si, un motto voglio scrivervelo, 3 parole ma che racchiudono un modo di vivere la passione e di coltivarla con amore: DER BERG RUFT!!
