Diario di un fotografo murettista. Capitolo bonus – Un anno in un racconto
Pensavate di esservi liberati di me ma sono ancora qui, a tediarvi, ad occupare un pò del vostro tempo e a raccontare una delle esperienze più belle, profonde ed importanti, umanamente e professionalmente, della mia vita.
Oltre a quanto avete visto, alle foto, ai racconti che avete già letto c’è un mondo dietro, un impegno parallelo che parte da tanto prima dalle ore per organizzare, pianificare, prenotare.
11 gare, 25.000 km con vari mezzi, oltre 300 km a piedi con lo zaino in spalla, oltre 100.000 foto fatte, 4 aerei, 1 autobus, tanta tante tante ore in auto, case, hotel, ristoranti (si, sembra una canzone di Tiziano Ferro), una ricerca iniziata a dicembre del 2024 e che ha reso questa stagione nel CEM grandiosa, certo non facile, che mi ha portato a volte allo stremo fisico, a stare fuori casa per settimane intere, a capire velocemente come gestire tempo, stanchezza, ore di sonno, pasti, lavoro.
Tutto quello fatto da aprile a settembre resterà per sempre una delle migliori “scuole” della vita mia, affrontata da autodidatta e che mi ha messo di fronte a problematiche superate facilmente, a tante situazioni, a tante persone, a realtà diverse alla quali adattarsi e dalle quali assorbire quanto più possibile per arricchire la mia persona.
Può sembrare un discorso presuntuoso ed autoreferenziale ma vi giuro su quello che ho di più caro che la possibilità di girare, conoscere, vedere, esplorare, la possibilità di assaporare ogni piccolo istante vissuto fuori dalle mie zone di comfort è stato oro per l’anima e la testa.
L’enorme fortuna è stata quella della condivisione, di aver imparato dalla grande famiglia delle cronoscalate che va oltre i nostri confini, che anche con lingue diverse parla con lo stesso cuore.
Potrei raccontarvi dell’emozione della prima gara, in Francia, con la consapevolezza che quello era il primo passo di un grande cammino, dei calzoni in pizzeria dal dubbio gusto e dalla dubbia cottura, dei sapori non proprio gradevoli come i nostri, potrei raccontarvi del mare di gente al Rechberg, del “negozi” di modellini, sedie da campeggio ed ombrelli proprio dietro al pubblico, i volontari che stanno ai baracchini di ristoro che passano con la carriola per permettere a tutti di bere e mangiare senza spostarsi, potrei raccontarvi di Falperra, delle meraviglie architettoniche, del cibo buonissimo, dei ragazzi che per una foto fatta col cellulare mi hanno offerto, birra, panini e volevano pagarmi con 10 euro, dell’ inno italiano gridato a squarciagola a 2400 km da casa, con l’emozione che chiudeva la gola.
Potrei raccontarvi dei “peggiori” bar di Oviedo, della chiamata durante la presentazione della gara del venerdì ad Arriondas, dell’intervista e del ballo che mi hanno fatto fare, io che sono un tronco ma che hanno reso il Fito indimenticabile, potrei ancora raccontarvi dei sapori “agliosi” della Repubblica Ceca, delle birre buonissime, dello sguardo curioso di tutti quando sapevano da dove venivo, della partecipazione dei ragazzi della cittadina ad ogni aspetto e in ogni ruolo che poteva aiutare la gara, potrei anche dirvi di Trento, delle restrizioni tutte italiane ma che sono state meno pesanti grazie a tanti amici, qualche grappa ed una marea di risate, in un posto bellissimo, con le montagne tutt’intorno a rasserenare cuore e occhi.
L’ospitalità tedesca? Il presidente del comitato organizzatore che mi ha accolto come un amico di vecchia data? I ringraziamenti dell’addetta stampa che quando ho detto di essere italiano ha strabuzzato gli occhi? Potrei raccontarvi anche della professionalità dei commissari e della pioggia che mi è arrivata anche alle mutande, del freddo che entrava nelle ossa ma che non mi ha fatto smettere di fotografare.
Potrei raccontarvi del caldo asfissiante di St. Ursanne, degli anziani di zona che facevano colazione con il caffè corretto, molto corretto, con quell’odore pungente che nel buio svegliava i sensi, delle persone che facevano il bagno nel fiume mentre le auto sfrecciavano a tutto gas e poi ancora dirvi della Slovenia, della nebbia, dell’umidità, del clima mutevole, della cotoletta mitologica di Danilo.
Ed infine Buzet, il tartufo, la trasferta folle con gli amici, le persone di zona che ogni anno ci aspettano alla curva della chiesa, la party curve, i fumogeni, l’enorme festa come se fosse l’ultimo giorno di scuola.
Potrei raccontarvi di come il mio lavoro e quello dei miei colleghi sia valorizzato, rispettato, agevolato, di come ci sia la forte convinzione che ogni foto ed ogni secondo di video siano la migliore pubblicità di ogni evento, di come la crescita di ogni gara e della specialità dipenda fortemente dall’immagine che noi rendiamo al grande pubblico, dal racconto, da tutto ciò che riusciamo a valorizzare.
Io, noi, non siamo di intralcio, ma siamo una collaborazione importante e siamo legati da un filo invisibile con la gente a bordo strada, gli organizzatori, i commissari perchè siamo li, con ruoli diversi, ma per un unico motivo.
Questa è solo una piccola parte di tutto quello che ho vissuto e che vorrei provaste anche voi, invece di rimanere nel vostro piccolo mondo incantato delle salite italiane, forti dell’autoconvincimento che sento da tutte le parti che abbiamo i piloti migliori, i percorsi migliori, le auto migliori.
Può essere anche vero, ma credo che si debba cambiare la percezione delle cose, spogliarsi totalmente dei preconcetti ed iniziare ad osservare in maniera distaccata ogni cosa, con la curiosità e lo spirito di chi scopre le gare per la prima volta. Solo allora riusciremo a far crollare quel muro di presunzione (passatemi il termine) e a gettare le basi per una crescita, anzi, per una rinascita della nostra specialità.
E spero cambi anche una tendenza che purtroppo ha condizionato l’andamento dei miei racconti che i ragazzi di Cronoscalate che Passione mi hanno gentilmente concesso di pubblicare, senza censure, condizionamenti, con la più completa fiducia e libertà.
Ho notato, nel corso degli 11 racconti che tanto più la critica al sistema era mirata e tanto meno c’erano interazioni da parte degli utenti, tanto più il racconto era scanzonato e privo di “attacchi” tanto più il riscontro era grande. Forse è stato un caso ma vorrei che per una volta la sudditanza verso istituzioni e personaggi venga meno perchè il problema viene proprio da li, da una sorta di “dittatura” morbida e ben mascherata e dalla cecità, dal silenzio incondizionato da parte di tanti, forse troppi.
Non che mi importi dei like, faccio parte della generazione “social free”, per me le dimostrazioni di affette, stima e rispetto, sono altre ma, se quello che ho visto è vero, diventa il riscontro palese e veritiero delle mie sensazioni.
A fronte di questo ho potuto vedere come, per tanti esperti da tastiera, ci sono altrettanti italiani che accendono la macchina, caricano una valigia e partono ed è stato bellissimo incontrarli quasi ogni domenica e vivere con loro il weekend, condividere le emozioni, birre, pioggia, sole ed ogni più piccolo aspetto di ogni gara.
Ora capite quanta fatica ma quanta bellezza, quanti chilometri ma quante soddisfazioni, quanti mondi diversi ma che alla fine vanno nella direzione della passione, la stessa per tutti, indipendentemente dalla bandiera che ci rappresenta, del pilota che si tifa, della lingua o delle tradizioni.
Nel mio piccolo, nella mia modesta vita di murettista, fotografo, giullare e cantastorie, posso dirvi che se seguirete il mio consiglio potrete di nuovo godere della vostra passione invece di farla diventare gradualmente una tradizione, riaccendere il desiderio in quel “rapporto di coppia” che sta trasformandosi in abitudine.
Tranquilli, non è adulterio, le salite italiane e chi le rappresenta non ve ne vorranno e non vi chiederanno gli alimenti.
Questo sarà l’ultimo capitolo dal diario, finiscono i miei racconti ma non la mia voglia di conoscere, il mio percorso che, spero, mi porterà ancora in giro per l’Europa. Forse sarò una meteora, forse tornerò il prossimo anno con qualcosa di nuovo e diverso. Forse da qui a poche settimane mi dimenticherete, forse sarò il supereroe che nessuno ha chiesto e del quale non si sente il bisogno.
